Don Killgallon

Don Killgallon is the originator of the sentence-composing approach to writing and the coauthor of Sentence Composing for Elementary School with Jenny Killgallon. He has also authored or coauthored several other sentence-composing worktexts, including Sentence Composing for Middle School, Sentence Composing for High School, Sentence Composing for College, Grammar for Middle School, Grammar for High School, Grammar for College Writing, Story Grammar for Elementary School, Paragraphs for Middle School, and Paragraphs for High School.

According to the authors’ website, Don Killgallon earned a B.A. from King’s College, an M.A. from the University of Maryland, and graduate degrees from Johns Hopkins University (M.L.A. and M.Ed.). He spent much of his teaching career in Baltimore County public schools, taught high school English at multiple levels, and has also taught at Johns Hopkins University, where he and Jenny Killgallon have taught sentence composing for adults.
