Donna J. Micheaux

Donna J. Micheaux, PhD, is an educational leader and consultant with more than twenty-five years of experience in K–12 education, including roles as a teacher, school and district administrator, adjunct professor, and research associate. She is the founder and CEO of Micheaux Educational Consulting, through which she provides executive coaching, leadership development, and consultation to campus, district, and system leaders, as well as nonprofit organizations and foundations supporting innovative K–12 STEM initiatives. Micheaux has served as deputy superintendent for Pittsburgh Public Schools and chief of schools officer for the Dallas Independent School District, and has held leadership positions with the Allegheny Intermediate Unit and the University of Pittsburgh’s Institute for Learning.

Micheaux is co-author of Powerful Inquiry: Leading With Questions to Build Leadership Capacity in Your School and District, a book that explores how educational leaders can build capacity in individuals, teams, and systems by leading with questions. She conducts executive coaching through contracted work with The Holdsworth Center and is a senior consultant for Learning Forward. Micheaux holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree in special education, and a doctorate in educational administration and policy studies from the University of Pittsburgh, and she has completed the Professional Coach Program at Duquesne University and earned the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential from the International Coaching Federation.[
