Doug Duff
Doug Duff is a Canadian educator, administrator, and Principal Instructional Leader with extensive experience in mathematics education and school improvement. He worked for 20 years with the Thames Valley District School Board in London, Ontario, Canada, serving in various leadership roles focused on enhancing math teaching and learning across schools. He has supported math education and school improvement both nationally and internationally, including work as a senior consultant with a major Canadian publisher, a multi‑grade mathematics textbook author, and an international presenter on mathematics leadership and professional learning.
Duff is the coauthor, with Marian Small, of The School Leader’s Guide to Building and Sustaining Math Success (ASCD, 2018), which provides K–12 leaders with practical guidance for establishing a strong mathematics culture, using data to monitor instruction, and sustaining improvement in math teaching and learning. He is also the developer of MathUP Leadership, a professional learning program designed to help elementary principals build school‑wide capacity in mathematics and foster a successful math culture through focused instructional leadership.
