Melissa M Jones

Dr. Melissa M. Jones, Ph.D. is a Professor of Special Education at Northern Kentucky University. According to her university vita, she earned her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, with a curriculum and instruction/disability studies focus, from Miami University and previously completed an M.Ed. in Special Education at the University of Cincinnati.

Jones is a coauthor of _The IEP Checklist: Your Guide to Creating Meaningful and Compliant IEPs_, and her author bio for that book describes her research focus as inclusive communities and student empowerment for individuals with disabilities. She has also contributed a chapter on least restrictive environment in the same book.
