Dwight L. Carter

Dwight L. Carter is a nationally recognized school leader and author based in central Ohio. He is the co-author of Leading Schools in Disruptive Times: How to Survive Hyper-Change (with Mark White) and What’s In Your Space? Five Steps to Better School and Classroom Design. Over a career spanning more than two decades, he has served as a high school social studies teacher, assistant principal, middle school principal, and principal, including leadership roles at Gahanna Lincoln High School and New Albany High School in Ohio. He has also worked as a leadership coach and consultant and is noted as an award-winning and internationally recognized school leader.

Carter has been inducted into the Jostens Renaissance Educator Hall of Fame (2010) and has received multiple principal of the year honors, including recognition as a National Association of Secondary School Principals Digital Principal of the Year. He has served as an assistant director and Director of Student Support Services at Eastland Career Center / Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools in Groveport, Ohio. Carter frequently speaks at local, state, and national conferences on topics such as Generations Z and Alpha, technology integration, school culture, and 21st-century education, and he has contributed articles and blogs to various education publications.
