Eileen Yoshina

Eileen Yoshina is an educator and equity leader who has contributed to the book You’re Going to Love This Kid!: Teaching Autistic Students in the Inclusive Classroom, where she is credited in chapters focused on family–school partnerships and creating comfortable classrooms for autistic students in inclusive settings. Her work in this volume centers on practical guidance for building collaborative relationships with families and fostering classroom environments that support belonging for all learners.

Yoshina serves as Director of Equity in Education at the Puget Sound Educational Service District (PSESD) in Washington State, where she leads efforts to support public school educational leaders in implementing regional racial equity policies and diversifying the educator workforce. She facilitates the Educators of Color Leadership Community and helps design professional learning experiences that address race, power, and white privilege in schools, as well as programs to attract, retain, and sustain educators of color.
