Emily Grimm

Emily Dolci Grimm is a principal at Mast Landing Elementary School in Freeport, Maine, and was formerly director of school transformation at Education Direction. She has also worked as an assistant principal and a social studies teacher, and her educational background includes a master’s degree in educational leadership and administration from Saint Joseph’s College and a bachelor’s degree in anthropology/education from Haverford College.

Grimm is the coauthor, with Trent Kaufman, of The Transparent Teacher: Taking Charge of Your Instruction with Peer-Collected Classroom Data (published by Jossey-Bass in 2013). Education Direction describes the book as presenting a teacher-driven observation model that uses peer-collected classroom data to improve instruction.
