Enya Granados

Enya Granados is a high school life science teacher based in Athens, Georgia, with at least seven years of classroom experience teaching secondary science. They are a coauthor of Answers to Your Biggest Questions About Teaching Secondary Science: Five to Thrive, part of Corwin’s Five to Thrive series for secondary educators. Granados is listed as a science teacher on the staff of Clarke Central High School in the Clarke County School District.

Granados has an active role in science education beyond their classroom. They have worked with BSCS Science Learning as a curriculum teacher co-writer on climate change and are an engaged member of the National Association of Biology Teachers (NABT), where they present regularly and chair the organization’s Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion committee. Their professional recognition includes a Knowles Teacher Fellowship awarded in 2018, NABT’s Outstanding New Biology Teacher award in 2021, selection as a state finalist for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching in 2025, and membership in the 2025 HHMI BioInteractive Ambassador Academy. Granados has also published work in the journals Teaching and Teacher Education and the National Center for Case Study Teaching in Science.
