Faith Kwon is a co-author of The Collaborative Math Classroom: Launching a Student-Centered Mathematical Community, published in 2023, alongside Jen Munson, Jennifer Langer-Osuna, and Mary Trinkle. In this work, she contributes classroom-based perspectives on building equitable, student-centered, and collaborative mathematics environments, drawing particularly on her experience teaching at the elementary level.
Kwon is a doctoral candidate at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Education, where she studies race, inequality, and language in elementary mathematics education, teacher education, and math education. Before beginning her doctoral studies, she worked as a primary grades teacher, instructional coach, and district professional developer, roles that inform her ongoing research on humanizing support for preservice and inservice teachers, especially those with marginalized identities and justice commitments.
