Stephen Shore

Stephen Shore is an autistic clinical associate professor of special education at Adelphi University. He is an internationally recognized autism advocate, educator, and author who has spoken in more than 50 countries and served on the board of Autism Speaks; he was also an early autistic board member of that organization.

Shore has written or co-written several books on autism and disability, including College for Students with Disabilities, Understanding Autism for Dummies, Ask and Tell, and Beyond the Wall. He also wrote the foreword for Accessible Arts Education: Principles, Habits, and Strategies to Unleash Every Student’s Creativity and Learning.
