Frederick L. Dillon
Frederick L. Dillon is an author and national mathematics curriculum and professional learning consultant based near Cleveland, Ohio. A retired mathematics teacher with 35 years of classroom experience, he has taught students from grade 7 through college and is a frequent speaker at national, state, and local mathematics education conferences and institutes. He has been active in professional organizations at multiple levels, including service on the board of directors for the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and leadership roles with the Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics (OCTM). Dillon’s contributions have been recognized with the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science and Mathematics Teaching and OCTM’s Christopherson-Fawcett Award for Lifetime Contributions to Mathematics Education.
Dillon has co-authored several influential professional resources for mathematics educators, including Answers to Your Biggest Questions About Teaching Secondary Math: Five to Thrive, part of Corwin’s Five to Thrive series, co-authored with Ayanna D.
