Author
Gabriella Aldeman is a Panamanian American children’s book author and professional translator of children’s books and academic resources. She is the author of the picture books Paula’s Patches (Free Spirit Publishing, 2023) and Squawk of Spanish (Charlesbridge, 2024), as well as the Spanish edition Un graznido en español (Charlesbridge, 2024). Her forthcoming picture book Sometimes a Dream is scheduled for publication by Versify/HarperCollins in 2027.
Aldeman holds degrees from Georgetown University and The College of William & Mary. Born and raised in Panama City, Panama, she is bilingual and draws on her Panamanian American, bicultural background in her work. In addition to writing, she works as a translator for children’s book publishers and education-related clients, and lives in Fairfax, Virginia with her husband and two children.
