George Georgiou

George K. Georgiou is a Canadian educational psychologist and full professor in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Alberta, where his work focuses on the prevention and treatment of reading disabilities. He also directs the J.P. Das Centre on Developmental and Learning Disabilities at the University of Alberta.

Georgiou is a coauthor of Better Together: Blending the Science of Reading and Professional Learning Communities at Work®, a title published by Solution Tree. Sources also note that he began his career as an elementary school teacher in Cyprus before pursuing graduate study at the University of Alberta.
