Glen Pearsall
Glen Pearsall is an Australian teacher, author, and educational consultant known for his practical work on classroom management, assessment, and teacher workload. He was a teacher and later a Leading Teacher at Eltham High School and served as a board member of the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority. Pearsall works throughout Australia as an educational consultant, specializing in feedback and assessment, workload reduction strategies for teachers, classroom management, and instructional practice, with a particular interest in supporting graduate and preservice teachers. He has also worked as a research fellow and seminar/tutorial leader at the Centre for Youth Research at the University of Melbourne, and has presented widely through initiatives such as the “PD in the Pub” series.
Pearsall is the author of Fast and Effective Assessment: How to Reduce Your Workload and Improve Student Learning, published internationally by ASCD, which focuses on fast, formative assessment and workload reduction for teachers. His other authored books include And Gladly Teach, Classroom Dynamics, The Literature Toolbox, and Tilting Your Teaching, and he is co-author of Literature for Life and Work Right.
