Gregory Vogt

Gregory L. Vogt, Ed.D., is a science educator and author known for his extensive work in children’s science and space education. He began his career as a junior high and eighth‑grade science teacher in Milwaukee Public Schools before joining NASA’s education programs, including the NASA Aerospace Education Services Program, where he helped establish the Teaching from Space office at the Johnson Space Center. He has also worked in outreach programs for the Kennedy Space Center and served as a senior project manager with the Center for Educational Outreach at Baylor College of Medicine, focusing on space biomedicine, teacher training, and work with graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.

Vogt is the author of more than seventy science books for children, and more than ninety juvenile and adult science books overall, many introducing young readers to astronomy and space science. His titles include Solar System (Scholastic Science Readers), The Milky Way (Early Bird Astronomy), Asteroids, Space Robots, Apollo Moonwalks: The Amazing Lunar Missions, and numerous other space‑themed nonfiction works. He is also coauthor of 5‑Minute Science: Grades 1–3: Instant WOW! Activities That Get Kids Excited About Science, a collection of quick, NGSS‑aligned science activities for elementary classrooms.
