Gretchen Oltman

Gretchen Oltman is an author, attorney, and educator who serves as an associate professor of interdisciplinary studies and program director of the Master of Science in Organizational Leadership at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. She has more than two decades of experience in education, including work as a high school English teacher and in educational leadership roles, and she is a licensed attorney with research interests spanning education law, censorship challenges, leadership development, and public education. Oltman holds a JD from the University of Nebraska College of Law, a PhD in educational studies and a BA in English from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, and an MA in teaching from the University of Louisville.

Oltman is the coauthor of What’s Your Leadership Story? A School Leader’s Guide to Aligning How You Lead with Who You Are, which guides school leaders through crafting a personal leadership philosophy.
