Guy Barmoha

Guy Barmoha is a coauthor of Making Sense of Mathematics for Teaching Grades 3–5, part of the Making Sense of Mathematics for Teaching series published by Solution Tree Press, alongside Juli K. Dixon, Edward C. Nolan, Thomasenia Lott Adams, and Jennifer M. Tobias. His work on this series focuses on helping teachers understand how key mathematical ideas progress within and across grades 3–5, supporting more coherent and conceptually grounded instruction.

In addition to his authorship, Barmoha has served in leadership roles in Broward County Public Schools in Florida, including as director of the secondary learning department and earlier as director of math, science, and gifted education, where he has worked to improve mathematics opportunities for middle and high school students. In these roles, he has been involved in initiatives to challenge high-achieving mathematics students and to integrate technology and online programs into math instruction.
