Haesun Moon

Haesun Moon, PhD, is a communication scientist, adult educator, and leading evidence‑based coaching expert based in Toronto, Canada. She is the executive director of the Canadian Centre for Brief Coaching, founder and program director of the Solution Focused Brief Coaching Certificate Program at the University of Toronto, and teaches brief coaching and related subjects at the University of Toronto and at the Institute of Coaching, a Harvard Medical School affiliate. Moon holds a PhD in Adult Education and Community Development (also described as Leadership, Higher and Adult Education) from the University of Toronto, where her research on coaching dialogues and pedagogy led to the development of the Dialogic Orientation Quadrant (DOQ), a coaching model widely used in solution‑focused and dialogic coaching practice.

Moon is the author of Coaching A to Z: The Extraordinary Use of Ordinary Words, her first solo book on solution‑focused, language‑centered coaching, and has contributed to or co‑authored other works including Foundations of Brief Coaching, Thriving Women, Thriving World, and Appreciative and Relational Practices in Healthcare. Recognized internationally as a master coach, researcher, and keynote speaker, she frequently works with senior managers and executive leaders on topics such as change management, performance evaluation
