Heidi Hayes Jacobs

Heidi Hayes Jacobs is an author and internationally recognized education leader known for her pioneering work in curriculum mapping, curriculum integration, and modernizing K–12 learning environments. She is the founder and president of Curriculum Designers (also referred to as Curriculum Designers Group), through which she provides professional services to schools, organizations, and agencies internationally to upgrade curriculum and support teaching strategies for contemporary learners. Jacobs completed her doctoral work at Teachers College, Columbia University in 1981, earned her master’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and undertook undergraduate studies at the University of Utah. She previously taught at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels in Utah, Massachusetts, and New York, and served as an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Curriculum and Teaching at Teachers College, Columbia University from 1981 to 1996.

Jacobs is the coauthor of Bold Moves for Schools: How We Create Remarkable Learning Environments (ASCD, 2017), written with Marie Hubley Alcock, which focuses on contemporizing school ecosystems, curriculum, and learning spaces.
