Hilary L. Kreisberg
Hilary L. Kreisberg is a mathematics educator and author whose work focuses on strengthening collaboration between schools and families around elementary mathematics. She is the co-author of Partnering With Parents in Elementary School Math: A Guide for Teachers and Leaders, as well as Adding Parents to the Equation: Understanding Your Child’s Elementary School Math, both of which support educators and caregivers in fostering positive, research-informed math learning at home and in classrooms. She has also contributed to curriculum and supplemental resources such as Let’s Talk Math: Engaging Students as Mathematical Thinkers.
Kreisberg has served as director of the Center for Mathematics Achievement at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and as an assistant professor of mathematics education. Her earlier career includes work as an elementary teacher and a K–5 math coach. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, a master’s degree in teaching with special education certification, and a doctorate in educational leadership and curriculum development, all from Northeastern University. She is active in the mathematics education community as a speaker, curriculum and product developer, and has held leadership roles including serving as president of the Boston Area Mathematics Specialists organization.
