Holly Ann Genova

Holly Ann Genova is a high school English teacher in Texas whose work focuses on literacy and equitable instruction for English learners in secondary classrooms. She has served on the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) Nominating Committee, reflecting her professional engagement with national English language arts education communities.

Genova is the coauthor, with Mary Amanda Stewart, of But Does This Work With English Learners?: A Guide for English Language Arts Teachers, Grades 6–12, a practical resource on adapting ELA practices for multilingual students. She and Stewart also coauthored “My Life, My Stories: Reading, Writing, and Belonging in the ESL Classroom,” published in English Journal in 2019.
