Homa S. Tavangar

Homa Sabet Tavangar is an author, educator, and global learning specialist. She is co-founder of the Big Questions Institute and the Oneness Lab, and has co-authored seven books for educators, including the three-book Take-Action Guide to World Class Learners series with Yong Zhao. Her other published works include Growing Up Global: Raising Children to Be At Home in the World, Global Kids, and The Global Education Toolkit for Elementary Learners.

Born in Iran, Tavangar has lived on four continents and speaks four languages. She holds degrees from UCLA and Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, and previously spent 20 years working in global competitiveness, organizational and international development with businesses, governments, nonprofit organizations, and international institutions. She has also served as a visiting scholar at the University of Pennsylvania and as an education advisor to the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting.
