Hope King
Hope King is an award‑winning educator, author, and speaker, best known as the co‑author of The Wild Card: 7 Steps to an Educator’s Creative Breakthrough, written with her husband Wade King. She has taught multiple elementary and middle‑grade levels and previously served as a reading teacher at the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, where her work in student engagement has been widely recognized. King holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from Anderson University (SC) and a Master of Education in Reading from Clemson University, and she has received the Debra Peebles Golden Deeds Excellence in Teaching Award in Anderson School District Four.
Beyond her classroom work, King is the co‑founder and CEO of Get Your Teach On, a national professional development initiative offering research‑based workshops and keynotes for K–8 educators. She also creates curriculum and instructional resources through Hope King Teaching Resources, Inc., her blog Elementary Shenanigans, and the Teachers Pay Teachers platform, and co‑authored the children’s book The Wild Card Kids: A Journey to M.A.G.I.C..
