Howard Yank

Howard Yank is an emeritus faculty member at Portland State University and an expert in equitable grading and assessment practices. He is the co-author of _Equitable Grading Unlocked: Practical Strategies from the Classroom_, published by ASCD, which draws on extensive research and collaboration with classroom teachers and administrators to offer practical approaches for accurate, fair, and growth-oriented grading.

In addition to his writing, Yank has developed professional learning experiences and online courses focused on grading reform, including work on accurate and fair grading for practicing educators.
