Jacie Maslyk

Dr. Jacie Maslyk, EdD, is an educator, consultant, and author with nearly two decades of experience in public education, including service as an elementary school teacher, principal, Director of Elementary Education, and assistant superintendent in the Hopewell Area School District in Pennsylvania. She is a literacy consultant and instructional coach, a Google Certified Educator, and has been recognized as a National Distinguished Principal finalist in Pennsylvania in 2013 and 2014.

Maslyk is the author of STEAM Makers: Fostering Creativity and Innovation in the Elementary Classroom and its updated edition, which provide practical strategies for integrating STEAM and maker learning into elementary classrooms. Her other published works include Remaking Literacy: Innovative Instructional Strategies for Maker Learning, Unlock Creativity: Opening a World of Imagination with Your Students, Connect to Lead: Power Up Your Learning Network to Move Your School Forward, and the co‑authored Makers in Schools. She has served as an editorial advisor for NAESP’s Principal magazine and contributed articles on Response to Intervention, school leadership, Common Core, STEAM education, and the maker movement, as well as serving on the advisory board for the Pittsburgh Children’s Museum’s Mobile MAKESHOP initiative.
