Jack C. Berckemeyer
Jack C. Berckemeyer is a nationally recognized middle grades educator, presenter, author, and humorist who began his career as a middle school teacher in Denver, Colorado. Within two years he was recognized as an outstanding educator at both his school and district levels, and in 2003 he received the Outstanding Alumni Award from Falcon School District. He holds a master’s degree in middle level education and an administrator’s degree, and served for 13 years as Assistant Executive Director of the National Middle School Association. Berckemeyer is the owner of Berckemeyer Consulting Group, through which he has provided professional development and keynote presentations to educators in hundreds of school districts and conference settings nationally and internationally.
As an author, Berckemeyer has written Managing the Madness: A Practical Guide to Middle Grades Classrooms, Taming of the Team: How Great Teams Work Together, How to Do Virtual Teaching Even If You Have a Face for Radio, Elements of Effective Teaming, and Successful Middle School Teaming, a companion guide to The Successful Middle School: This We Believe.
