Jackie Miller

Jackie Miller is an instructional coach and coauthor of Planning Powerful Instruction, Grades 2–5: 7 Must-Make Moves to Transform How We Teach—and How Students Learn, published by Corwin in 2020. In this role, Miller supports elementary teachers in strengthening literacy instruction and overall classroom practice, focusing on planning that improves student understanding and outcomes.

In Planning Powerful Instruction, Grades 2–5, Miller and coauthors Jeffrey D. Wilhelm, Christopher Butts, and Adam Fachler present the EMPOWER framework, a seven-step model designed to help teachers plan lessons that build deep comprehension and engagement for students in grades 2–5.
