Jacob Goodwin
Jacob Goodwin is a sixth-grade educator, social studies teacher, and author of Teach Like a Community Organizer: Practical Tools for Community-Building, Civic Engagement, and Progressive Change (Routledge, 2026). He has more than a decade of experience in New Hampshire public schools and was recognized as New Hampshire History Teacher of the Year in 2021.
Goodwin earned a B.A. in History from the University of New Hampshire Honors Program, an M.Ed. in Secondary Education from UNH, an M.A. in Political Science with coursework at UNH and Georgetown, and a post-master’s certificate from Antioch University. He was a 2015 James Madison Memorial Fellow, named a Progressive Education Fellow in 2023, and selected for the Peace Teacher Program at the U.S. Institute of Peace; his writing has appeared in outlets including The Fulcrum, Common Dreams, and EdWeek.
