James Lindsey
James F. Lindsey, Ed.D., is an American educator who has taught in the upper grades of elementary school as well as high school music, social studies, and mathematics. He also served as a school principal before moving into higher education. Lindsey spent 21 years as a Professor of Education at California State University, Chico, where he is now Professor Emeritus.
He is a coauthor of Math Stories for Problem Solving Success: Ready-to-Use Activities Based on Real-Life Situations, Grades 6–12, 2nd edition, published in 2008, which presents realistic story-based math problems aligned with National Council of Teachers of Mathematics standards.
