Janiel Wagstaff

Janiel Wagstaff is a national literacy consultant and K–6 literacy coach at a Title I school in Utah, with more than 25 years of classroom experience. She has written professional books including We Can Do This!: Student Mentor Texts That Teach and Inspire and Teaching Reading and Writing With Word Walls, and she created the Stella Writes series of children’s books to teach opinion, informative, narrative, and poetry writing through the perspective of a second-grade student.

According to her biography, Wagstaff also works as an educational consultant and has been associated with school and literacy organizations through her professional work. Her Stella Writes books include titles such as Stella Writes an Opinion, Stella Tells Her Story, and Stella and Class: Information Experts, all published as mentor texts for young writers.
