Jared J. Savage is an educator and school leader who serves as principal of Fairmont Elementary School (TK–8) in the Sanger Unified School District in California. He has worked in education for 19 years, holding roles that include teacher, coach, counselor, guidance learning specialist, assistant principal, and principal, across both elementary and secondary settings. His experience also includes building programs to support alternative education and foster care youth in Fresno County, California.
Savage is coauthor of Collective Efficacy in a PLC at WorkⓇ: Lessons, Paradoxes, and Research From a Turnaround District, written with Matt Navo and published by Solution Tree Press. His leadership teams have received multiple honors, including designation as a Solution Tree Model PLC at WorkⓇ School, National Forum Schools to Watch redesignation, and awards such as the California School Boards Association Golden Bell Award for Closing the Achievement Gap, the California Gold Ribbon, and the California PBIS Platinum Level Award for Fresno County. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in educational leadership from California State University, Fresno, along with a professional administrative credential and a pupil personnel services credential.
