Jason McKenna

Jason McKenna is an author, educator, and STEM education leader, and the author of What STEM Can Do for Your Classroom: Improving Student Problem Solving, Collaboration, and Engagement, Grades K–6, published by Solution Tree Press in 2023. In this book, he draws on his experience teaching STEM in elementary school to present classroom-tested projects and strategies designed to build students’ problem-solving skills, collaboration, and engagement.

McKenna has over two decades of experience in education and is a long-time former classroom teacher. He serves as Vice President (or Director) of Global Educational Strategy for VEX Robotics, where he leads or oversees the development and classroom integration of STEM and computer science curricula for platforms such as VEX IQ, VEX GO, VEX 123, VEXcode VR, and VEX V5/EXP. In this role he focuses on curriculum development, global educational strategy, and working with educators and policymakers around the world to integrate STEM and robotics into K–12 learning.
