Jean Quigg
Dr. Jean Quigg is an education leader and author with more than 40 years of experience in urban, suburban, and rural school systems. She is a retired school system superintendent and has previously served as assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction, principal, assistant principal, reading specialist, and elementary teacher. Dr. Quigg is recognized for her practical expertise in school improvement, standards-based instruction and grading, benchmark test development, and Career Academies, and she holds certifications as a Certified School Improvement Specialist (CSIS), in Instructional Design (ID – instructor-led training), and in Brinkerhoff High Performance Learning Journey adult learning design.
Dr. Quigg serves as National Certification Director and Lead Senior Instructor at The Institute for Performance Improvement, where she co-authors and develops performance-based courses, co-leads principal supervisor learning experiences, and provides school improvement consulting to districts. She is co-author of Facilitating Shared Success: A Practical Guide for Leading Collaborative School Improvement (Where Collaborative Inquiry Meets Real Change), published by Solution Tree in 2025, alongside Deb Page, Judith Hale, and Kayla Duncan. She also co-authored The School Improvement Specialist Field Guide, 2nd Edition, which supports the LAUNCH!™ Learning Experience for school improvement specialists.
