Jeffrey Zoul

Jeffrey Zoul is a lifelong educator, author, and speaker who has served in multiple teaching and leadership roles across the United States. Over his career he has worked as a classroom teacher and coach, a principal in both Georgia and Illinois, a district administrator, a school improvement specialist with the Southern Regional Education Board, and an Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning in Deerfield Public Schools District 109 in Illinois. He has taught graduate courses in assessment, research, and program evaluation, and has been recognized as a local Teacher of the Year as well as an outstanding principal in Georgia, including leading a National School of Excellence in Illinois. Zoul holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts and a doctoral degree from the University of Alabama, along with additional degrees from Troy University and the University of Southern Mississippi.

Zoul is the author or co-author of more than a dozen professional books for educators, including Start. Right. Now.: Teach and Lead for Excellence and What Connected Educators Do Differently, both co-written with Todd Whitaker and Jimmy Casas. His other works include Improving Your School One Week at a Time, The Principled Principal, Leading Professional Learning: Tools to Connect and Empower Teachers, The 4 CORE School Success Factors, and Cornerstones of Strong Schools: Practices for Purposeful Leadership. He has presented at conferences and school
