Jennifer Ansbach

Jennifer Ansbach is a National Board Certified English teacher and author of Take Charge of Your Teaching Evaluation: How to Grow Professionally and Get a Good Evaluation. She teaches high school English at Manchester Township High School in New Jersey and was recognized as the 2013 Outstanding English Language Arts Educator by the New Jersey Council of Teachers of English. Her work focuses on helping teachers use evaluation systems as tools for professional growth by documenting classroom practice, centering instruction on student learning, and engaging reflectively with evaluation rubrics.

In addition to her book, Ansbach has written about teacher burnout, evaluation anxiety, and reflective practice for professional education outlets, and has contributed to publications such as the New York Times, Edutopia, and regional newspapers. She is described as a lifelong reader and book lover who enjoys introducing her high school students to new titles, and she has pursued advanced study in American Studies at Rutgers University–Newark, working at the intersection of young adult literature and social justice.
