Jennifer B. Abrams is an international educational and communications consultant who works with public and independent schools, universities, and non-profit organizations on adult-to-adult communication, new teacher and employee support, collaboration, and having difficult professional conversations. She spent more than two decades in the Palo Alto Unified School District in California as a high school English teacher, new teacher coach, and professional development facilitator before establishing her full-time communications consultancy in 2012.
Abrams is the author of Having Hard Conversations and Hard Conversations Unpacked: The Whos, the Whens, and the What Ifs, as well as additional books on workplace communication including The Multigenerational Workplace: Communicating, Collaborating & Creating Community, Swimming in the Deep End: Four Foundational Skills for Leading Successful School Initiatives, and Stretching Your Learning Edges: Growing (Up) at Work. She has been recognized by Education Week’s “Finding Common Ground” blog as one of “21 Women All K–12 Educators Need to Know.”
