Jennifer L. Parvin

Jennifer L. Parvin, Ph.D., P.C.C., is an executive coach, leadership consultant, and former urban school district leader with more than 25 years of experience in K–12 education. She has served as a teacher, principal, and developer of principals in a large urban district, including roles as the founding principal of Salazar Elementary, recognized as a Model PLC at Work® school, and as the founding director of the Dallas Independent School District Leadership Academy, where she shaped professional learning for aspiring and sitting principals. She currently leads Parvin & Associates / Parvin Leadership Consulting & Coaching, providing coaching, leadership development, and organizational consulting for educational, nonprofit, and for‑profit organizations. Parvin also teaches as an adjunct faculty member in the Graduate Liberal Studies program at the Simmons School of Education, Southern Methodist University (SMU), offering graduate courses on coaching, organizational dynamics, emotional intelligence, and critical perspectives on U.S. public education.

Parvin is the co‑author, with Donna J. Micheaux, of Powerful Inquiry: Leading With Questions to Build Leadership Capacity in Your School and District (Create a culture that builds leadership capacity.), published by Solution Tree Press, which focuses on how leaders can build capacity in individuals, teams, and systems by leading with questions.[
