Jennifer Lempp
Dr. Jennifer Lempp is a mathematics educator, consultant, and author focused on helping teachers implement student-centered math instruction. She is the author of Math Workshop: Five Steps to Implementing Guided Math, Learning Stations, Reflection, and More and co-author of Math Workshop, Grades 6–12: Five Steps to Implementing a Student-Centered Learning Environment with Skip Tyler. Her books provide practical structures and strategies for math workshop, including guided math, learning stations, and student reflection, and are widely used in K–12 classrooms and district models for math instruction.
Lempp has worked in Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia, including serving as a coordinator in the Office of School Support, and she now supports educators through workshops and professional learning focused on math workshop implementation in grades K–12. Her work emphasizes number sense routines, small-group instruction, and collaborative, discourse-rich mathematics classrooms where students engage in purposeful mathematical experiences.
