Jennifer M. Twyford

Jennifer M. Twyford, PhD, is a psychologist and Associate Professor of School Psychology whose work focuses on culturally responsive assessment and the identification and prevention of disruptive behavioral problems in children and adolescents. She serves as Co-Director of the Hybrid Track and Assessment Coordinator in the School Psychology program at Lewis & Clark College and is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist, licensed as both a psychologist and school psychologist in Oregon and California. Twyford earned her PhD in Clinical, Community, and School Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and holds EdS and MS degrees in Educational Psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Twyford is the lead editor of Culturally Informed Approaches to Behavioral and Educational Assessment and has coauthored peer-reviewed work on topics such as the factor structure of the BASC-2 and culturally responsive practices in assessment and intervention. Her clinical and research experience spans school, community, residential, juvenile justice, and inpatient settings, with a particular emphasis on equitable assessment and support for youth from underrepresented backgrounds.
