Jennifer McDonough
Jennifer McDonough is an educator and author with extensive experience teaching young children and supporting early literacy instruction. She is the coauthor of A Place for Wonder: Reading and Writing Nonfiction in the Primary Grades with Georgia Heard, published by Stenhouse in 2009, and Conferring with Young Writers: What to Do When You Don’t Know What to Do, coauthored with Kristin Ackerman. Her work focuses on helping teachers foster curiosity, nonfiction inquiry, and effective writing conferences in primary classrooms.
McDonough has taught first grade and served as a literacy coach, and has presented to teachers across the United States on reading and writing instruction. She has also worked as a K–4 literacy specialist at The Pine School in Hobe Sound, Florida, and has been affiliated with the Benjamin School in North Palm Beach, Florida as a first-grade teacher and literacy coach.
