Jennifer Wathall

Jennifer Chang Wathall is an independent education consultant, author, and part-time instructor at the University of Hong Kong. She has more than 25 years of experience in international education, including work at South Island School and Island School in Hong Kong and the United Nations International School in New York. She earned a degree in Pure and Applied Mathematics from the University of Sydney and completed postgraduate studies in education at the University of Hong Kong.

Wathall authored Concept-Based Mathematics: Teaching for Deep Understanding in Secondary Classrooms and has also co-authored student companions for IB Diploma Mathematics courses published by Oxford University Press. Her professional work has focused on concept-based curriculum and instruction, mathematics education, and educational technology.
