Jessica Blum-DeStefano
Jessica Blum-DeStefano is an instructor and advisor in the leadership programs at Bank Street Graduate School of Education, where she teaches adult development and qualitative research. She earned a PhD in Education Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University, after nine years as a teacher and school leader in alternative education settings, and she co-facilitates professional learning for educational leaders.
She is a co-author of Learning for Leadership: Developmental Strategies for Building Capacity in Our Schools (2013), Tell Me So I Can Hear You: A Developmental Approach to Feedback for Educators (2016), and Leading Change Together: Developing Educator Capacity Within Schools and Systems (2018). Her work focuses on adult development, social justice leadership, feedback, and leadership capacity-building in schools and systems.
