Jessica Djabrayan Hannigan

Dr. Jessica Djabrayan Hannigan is an assistant professor of educational leadership at California State University, Fresno, where she focuses on designing and implementing effective schoolwide behavior systems. She began her career as a school psychologist and has held roles in special education, student support services, and district-level administration, as well as serving as an educational consultant to schools and districts nationwide. Her work has emphasized Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and multi-tiered systems of support, including training hundreds of schools in the PBIS Champion Model.

Hannigan is the coauthor of multiple practitioner-focused books on behavior and equity in schools, including Behavior Solutions: Teaching Academic and Social Skills Through RTI at Work and Building Behavior: The Educator’s Guide to Evidence-Based Initiatives, as well as the PBIS Tier One, Tier Two, and Tier Three Handbooks, Don’t Suspend Me!, and The MTSS Start-Up Guide. She has received several recognitions for her contributions to educational leadership and equity, including being named California Outstanding School Psychologist of the Year, Administrator of the Year, and the inaugural Association of California School Administrators Exemplary Woman in Education, and has been honored by the California Legislature Assembly for her work in social justice and equity.
