Jessica Martin

Jessica Martin is a former classroom teacher, a former resident advisor at UCLA’s Teacher Education Program Center X, and a former staff developer at Teachers College Reading and Writing Project at Columbia University. She now leads a small consulting team that works with K–12 schools in English Language Arts, Cognitively Guided Instruction math, and inquiry-based content-area instruction.

She is the author of Strategic Classroom Design: Creating an Environment for Flexible Learning, published by Heinemann in 2019. The book focuses on creating classroom environments that support flexible learning, and related Heinemann material describes it as a guide to classroom setups, movement, transitions, and budget-friendly redesign ideas.
