Jill Handley
Jill Handley, EdD, is the assistant superintendent of multilingual learners in Jefferson County Public Schools in Kentucky. A veteran educator with nearly 30 years of experience, she previously served as principal of Kenwood Elementary School, where she led the school to multiple recognitions, including designation as a National School of Character, a National Distinguished ESEA School, and the first Family Friendly Certified school in Kentucky.
Handley is the coauthor of What Can I Take Off Your Plate?: A Structural—and Sustainable—Approach to Countering Teacher Burnout (ASCD, 2024), which focuses on systemic, leadership-based strategies to reduce teacher burnout. She also presents and leads professional learning on combating teacher burnout, cultivating supportive school cultures, and designing sustainable structures to support educators.
