Jocko Willink
Jocko Willink (John Gretton “Jocko” Willink Jr.) is a retired U.S. Navy SEAL officer, author, podcaster, and leadership consultant. He served in the SEAL Teams for about 20 years, rising from enlisted SEAL to officer and ultimately commanding SEAL Team 3’s Task Unit Bruiser in Ramadi during the Iraq War, for which he received decorations including the Silver Star and Bronze Star. After returning from combat, he oversaw training for West Coast SEAL Teams before retiring from the Navy and co-founding Echelon Front, a leadership and management consulting firm where he serves as a leadership instructor and strategic advisor.
Willink is the co-author, with Leif Babin, of the #1 New York Times bestseller Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy SEALs Lead and Win, including its New Edition, as well as The Dichotomy of Leadership. He has also written Discipline Equals Freedom: Field Manual, Leadership Strategy and Tactics, the novel Final Spin, and the Way of the Warrior Kid children’s series. In addition to his books, he hosts the Jocko Podcast, a widely followed show focused on leadership, discipline, and personal development.
