John Dibiaggio

Maryanne Wolf is a scholar, author, and literacy advocate specializing in the reading brain, language development, and dyslexia. She served as the John DiBiaggio Professor of Citizenship and Public Service and directed the Center for Reading and Language Research at Tufts University; she later became director of UCLA’s Center for Dyslexia, Diverse Learners, and Social Justice. Wolf earned her doctorate from Harvard University and has published more than 160 scientific works.

Her books include Proust and the Squid: The Story and Science of the Reading Brain, Tales of Literacy for the 21st Century: The Literary Agenda, Dyslexia, Fluency, and the Brain, and Reader, Come Home: The Reading Brain in a Digital World.
