John T. Moore

John T. Moore, Ed.D., is a chemistry educator and author who served for 46 years at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, including as a professor and Regents Professor of chemistry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Asheville-Biltmore College, a master’s degree in chemistry from Furman University, and a doctorate in education from Texas A&M University.

Moore is the author of Chemistry Made Simple and Chemistry For Dummies, and coauthor of Biochemistry For Dummies and Organic Chemistry II For Dummies. His work also includes chemical-education outreach and teacher professional development.
