Jonathan C. Erwin

Jonathan C. Erwin, M.A., has spent more than 35 years in education as a secondary English teacher, professional development specialist, author, and independent consultant. He has also served as an adjunct professor at Elmira College, a part-time professor at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, and director of curriculum and training for a federally funded character education program.

Erwin’s work centers on William Glasser’s Choice Theory and student intrinsic motivation, and his books include The Classroom of Choice and Inspiring the Best in Students. The second edition of The Classroom of Choice: 100+ Strategies to Reach and Teach Every Learner expands on his classroom strategies for creating connected, empowering learning environments.
