Jorge Valenzuela
Jorge Valenzuela, PhD, is an education coach, author, and speaker whose work focuses on instructional innovation, project-based learning (PBL), STEM pathways, and the purposeful integration of social-emotional learning and artificial intelligence in teaching and learning. He serves as an adjunct professor at Old Dominion University and as lead coach at Lifelong Learning Defined, where he supports educators and instructional leaders with team building, core instruction, and action research–driven professional development.
He is the author of Instructional Innovation+: Cultivating Teaching Teams Through Action Research and Project-Based Learning+: Enhancing Academic Learning and Essential Life Skills, both published by Corwin, along with earlier works including Rev Up Robotics, Environmental Science for Grades 6–12, and the jump-start guides Ready, Set, Robotics and SEL in Action. His leadership in computer science and STEM education has been recognized with honors such as ISTE’s Computer Science Excellence Award and the Lynn Barrier Engineering Leadership Award.
